- The update of DirectX is done automatically with Windows updates on recent systems like Vista or 7 on Windows XP (though it should also keep his system up to date) may need to manually launch the implementation Update for the latest version, you will find below a link to the automatic installer from Microsoft :

Then run this file and when asked to choose a location (Browse or browse) Choose the same folder. Then, the installer will unpack the files in that folder, once completed, go to the folder and double-click DXSETUP (or DXSETUP.exe). The DirectX installation will start.
